New Delhi:  In the wake of the terror attack on the Mehran naval base in Karachi, Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar is chairing a high-level meeting to assess possible implications of the attack for India.

Karachi's Mehran naval base, one of Pakistan's most well-guarded military installations, was attacked by militants of the Pakistan Taliban last night, and the siege ended after 15 hours.

The attack left 10 security personnel dead and 15 others injured, said Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
