A major disaster was averted at the Tiruchirappalli airport today when an Air India flight was allegedly cleared for landing before a Jet Airways flight took off from the same run way.
The landing was aborted at the last minute and the collision was averted.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will initiate a probe into the incident from Tuesday.
