In a chilling display of violence over a trivial amount, a 41-year-old man was allegedly murdered in Bhadarwa village of the Narmada district, Gujarat, on Friday morning.

The victim, Rajeshbhai Dhanjibhai Tadvi, who suffered from physical disabilities including partial paralysis, was returning home with groceries from the village bus stand when he was intercepted by 33-year-old Dharmendrabhai (alias Dhamo) Ganpatbhai Tadvi.

According to the First Information Report (FIR), Dharmendra demanded Rs 10 for personal expenses, and when Rajeshbhai refused to give the money, the encounter turned deadly.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accused, Dharmendra, pinned Rajeshbhai down on an RCC road near the village entrance. He then brutally attacked Rajeshbhai, kicking him in the chest and neck before placing his foot on Rajeshbhai's throat to strangle him. The victim died on the spot due to his injuries, which included visible bruising and marks on his shoulders and neck.

Following the incident, the village sarpanch (head) alerted the local police, who arrived to find the victim's body covered in a shroud. The police, led by Inspector AP Solanki, have registered a case of murder under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against Dharmendra Tadvi.

The complainant, Bharatbhai Tadvi, expressed shock, noting that his cousin was targeted despite his vulnerable physical condition.
