F1 Live Blog: Indian Grand Prix 2012

That was an absolutely brilliant Indian Grand Prix. With three more races to go, there's still no guarantee who'll have the last laugh!

The trophies are given out... and there goes the champagne!

The Bhangra boys give it a break as the German national anthem is played.

Nico Kulkenberg pulls over off the track. But the Sahara Force India driver gets a rapturous applause from the home crowd! 

Vettel had to shut his fuel down. And Webber actually pushes him to enter the pit lane!

Vettel on Radio: "Whoo hooo... YESSS.. thank you boys,,each everyone of you."

MARK WEBBER is the third on podium.

FERNANDO ALONSO comes in second.

SEBASTIAN VETTEL it is again. He defends his Indian GP title.

What a disappointment for him at his last Indian GP.

Schumacher's race is over. He goes out at 18th place.

3 more laps to go with Vettel heading for another easy one it seems.

Brace for a tight finish as Hamilton gets on Webber's tail, who seems to be having a KERS issue.

Ok. The last 10 laps.

Super show. Alonso pips Webber to No. 2 spot.

News trickles in. Michael Schumacher will be investigated by FIA stewards after race for ignoring blue flags.

De la Rosa is the next to crash now. He's possibly out of the race. 

20 more laps to go as the battle for 2nd spot hots up between Webber and Alonso.

Hamilton joins back at 4th after the pit stop.

And he nearly tripped on race leader Sebastian Vettel!!

It's confirmed. Maldonado had a crash with Bruno Senna.

Pastor Maldonado goes off the track and comes back.

Halfway through with 30 laps gone.

Button drops to ninth after the pit stop.

Karthikeyan comes into the pit.

End of the race for Sergio Perez.

Raikkonen on the DRS wing as he chase Felipe Massa.

Yes, a contact with Daniel Ricardo did it for Perez.

Perez' right-rear burst off.

Lewis Hamilton complains about losing time behind the lapped Schumacher.

Narain Karthikeyan had managed to move to 21st, but has again dropped to 23rd.

Great driving as Hulkengerg pips Perez to the 8th spot.

Schumacher is already one lap down.

Lap 13. Sergio Perez on 8th with Nico Hulkenberg at 9th.

Button and Massa get their DRS on.

Before the race began, Sahara Force India team owners Subrata Roy and Vijay Mallya were spotted on the sidelines

After 8 laps, the tyres are starting to get a better grip. Lap times should come down now.

It's Alonso on third with Hamilton on fourth now.

Alonso had just managed to sneak ahead of both the McLaren's, but Button just pulled it at the bend.

So the drivers have eased into their positions.

Robert Vadra was seen at the start but he disappeared as soon as cameras were trained at him.

Jenson Button is at 3 with Alonso on his tail. Hamilton goes fifth.

Sebastian Vettel manages to keep his lead.

It's a super start as the 75,000 roar at the grand stand.

And... the 2nd Indian Grand Prix begin!!!!!

Michael Schumacher: "I feel I'm a bit out-positioned. But it should be interesting."

Vijay Mallya is at the start line with the Sahara Force India team as Bernie Ecclestone goes over for a quick chat. 

Alonso believes that there are four races to go and the championship title is still not out of reach.

Sebastian Vettel: "From the outside it looks easier."

Fernando Alonso at the paddock: "We did our job. Me and Felipe (Massa) are good on the grid."

It's wonderful day at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. Nice sunshine with the temperature set to go cooler later in the day.

At the Buddh International Circuit today, a galaxy of stars will descend which include Yuvraj Singh, Ajay Devgn, Harbhajan Singh. However, all those were waiting to catch a glimpse of Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan waving the chequered flag, there is change. 

However the drivers have had a gala time in India. McLaren driver Jenson Button told NDTV how much he liked the Indian food. Watch:
