New Delhi:  Close on the heels of the Google Maps controversy over Arunachal Pradesh, Indian Defence Minister A K Antony said on Thursday that "every inch in Arunachal and Kashmir is Indian territory."

But Antony cleared the air on recent comparisons between Indian and Chinese military spends, saying that India is merely strengthening its military capabilities and this should not lead to comparisons between the defence expenditures of the two countries.

"We want to settle our border issues through dialogue, but we are also strengthening milittary capabilities on our side of the border," he said, adding,"The government is strengthening our Army, Navy, Air Force and related infrastructure."

Elaborating on Indo-China dialogue, Antony said, "We have always raised issues of perceived incursion or aggression with China through existing channels."
