New Delhi: Arvind kejriwal today alleged that the BJP had approached 15 of his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislators to try and form a government in Delhi.

"If they (the BJP) try to take power by unscrupulous means, we will expose them at an appropriate time," Mr Kejriwal said a day after releasing a video that he said showed a BJP leader trying to offer money to AAP legislator Dinesh Mohaniya.

"We will reveal the names of the AAP legislators approached by the BJP," he added.

The AAP chief said he would send the 'sting' footage to President Pranab Mukherjee and also the Delhi Police Commissioner.

Denying Mr Kejriwal's allegation, BJP spokesperson Sanjay Kaul said, "You cannot buy what is not on sale. If people are willing to leave AAP as they are insecure about their future, they will certainly negotiate with other parties."

In the 17-minute AAP video allegedly recorded on Sunday, the BJP's Sher Singh Dagar is seen talking to AAP legislator Dinesh Mohaniya. Mr Dagar did not deny the meeting at his residence, but said the video was edited and he had never offered money.

The Centre today told the Supreme Court that the process had begun for government formation in Delhi after Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung recommended that the single largest party should be invited and should take a floor test.

The BJP and its allies have the most number of seats between them - 29 - and need at least five more. AAP has accused the BJP of trying to fill the gap by offering its legislators money and posts to cross over. It says the BJP wants to avoid polls at all costs since it has failed to keep its promises to voters after taking power in Delhi.

"Why is the BJP so afraid of contesting an election?" Mr Kejriwal questioned.

Hearing AAP's petition for fresh polls in Delhi, the Supreme Court urged the Centre today to "take steps at the earliest" in government formation, or "horse-trading" would continue. (Act Fast to Stop Horse-trading in Delhi: Supreme Court tells Centre)
