Whenever any person shakes hand with me or touches my hand, they remark that my hands are very rough . What could be the possible reason for this roughness? Time and again, I have tried to smoothen the hand-surface by applying some moist-soap and body-oil but have not been quite successful. What can be done for the same?

Most likely, you are having keratoderma that is thickening of palmar skin. You may use a moisturiser cream like Moisturex or Cotaryl cream daily and shake hands softly.
