What causes ringworms?
Question
I am a 43 years old male suffering from ringworms (candidiasis) for the last two years especially in the groin and buttocks. The doctor prescribed Grisovin and Candid-B ointment for five days. It was cured completely but keeps recurring every three months. I ride a lot on bike and the itching and rashes are seen now at the seating areas also. How can ringworms be treated permanently?

Ringworm is not caused by the fungus Candida but by dermatophytes. Usually dermatophyte infections of the skin requires around 3 weeks of treatment. If the condition recurs again and again, then there must be some predisposing factors. These need to be identified and managed.
