How can a clot in the eye be treated?
Question
My 53 years old mother had obstruction in the vision of her right eye all of a sudden. She could only see a black net like thing. On consultation with the doctor, it was diagnosed to be a clot in her eye. She is a hypertension patient and had blood pressure 210/100 mmHg at that time. What are the possible treatments available? Will this hamper her eyesight?

Yes, it will hamper her eyesight but may get better after sometime depending on how much obstruction clears. The blood clot in the eye would have been caused by venous blockage in the retina but because your mother is relatively young and after BP is controlled, this should get better. Some cases may need laser treatment. However, because of the retinal scar, it may never clear as well as it was.
