New Delhi:
Punjabi singer Labh Janjua, 57, was reportedly found dead at his residence in Goregaon, Mumbai on Thursday morning. The singer is best known for songs in films like
Queen and
Singh is Bliing. Mr Janjua is originally from the Khanna, in Ludhiana district of Punjab. He learned music from a well-known local teacher, late Jaswant Bhanwra, in the same city. (Also Read:

Mr Janjua shot to fame with 1999 Punjabi folk song
Mundian To Bach Ke, which was produced by Punjabi MC. The song was later used in 2003 film
Boom. But he had to wait till 2005 for his big break in Bollywood.

Garam Masala became his ticket to Bollywood.
One of 2006's top songs
Pyaar Karke from
Pyaar Ke Side Effects was also sung by Mr Janjua.
In 2007, he sang
Soni De Nakhre from
Partner, which was picturized on Salman Khan, Govinda and Katrina Kaif. He also gave vocals for
O Yara Dhol Bajake from the film
Dhol.

Mr Janjua's body was discovered in a suspicious condition by his domestic help and taken to Cooper Hospital for post mortem. Police are investigating the reasons for the death.
