Los Angeles: Hollywood beauty GwynethPaltrow has opened up about her struggle with postpartumdepression, saying that she felt like a "zombie" after givingbirth to her second child.

The Oscar winning actress says that she was "blissful"during daughter Apple's first few months of life in the summerof 2004. Two years later, when son Moses was born, she foundherself living a nightmare, reported People magazine.

"I felt like a zombie. I couldn't access my heart. Icouldn't access my emotions. I couldn't connect," said the38-year-old actress.

"It was terrible, it was the exact opposite of whathad happened when Apple was born. With her, I was on cloudnine. I couldn't believe it wasn't the same. I just thought itmeant I was a terrible mother and a terrible person," sheadded.

It was Paltrow's husband, Coldplay frontman ChrisMartin, who first thought she might be suffering frompostpartum depression.

"About four months into it, Chris came to me and said,'Something's wrong. Something's wrong'. I kept saying, 'No,no, I'm fine'. But Chris identified it, and that sort of burstthe bubble," said the actress who then decided to seek medicalhelp for her problem.
