Internet personality Orry has reacted to the viral buzz around CBSE exam papers, after students claimed that scanning a QR code on their question paper led to search results featuring him.

What's Happening

  • The moment quickly picked up online, with several celebrities joining the conversation.
  • Orry shared a video of himself scanning the QR code and discovering his own search page. He stitched it with a clip of Ananya Panday reacting to seeing her face on a phuljhadi packet during Diwali last year.
  • Responding to the situation, he wrote, "Oh, that's my dream. Oh my gosh! I am on CBSE exam paper," adding, "CBSE paper is the new phuljadi packet."
  • He further said, "It is an extremely large and appropriate honour to be on a national pan-India examination paper, being crowned as a youth pop culture icon. I am extremely humbled to now officially be a part of Indian history both literary and metaphorically. I could not think of an achievement more fitting than this."
  • Joining the banter, Janhvi Kapoor commented, "You were home yesterday????" Orry replied with a riddle-like response, "Hello, I live within your walls but I am not concrete, I live on your sofa but I am not a cushion, I live in your kitchen but I am not a fish, Who am I ???"
  • Ananya Panday also reacted playfully, writing, "Still not as cool as me."

Background

The viral moment stems from the Class 12 History exam conducted on March 30, 2026, where students reported that scanning the QR code printed on their question paper led to unexpected Internet search results related to Orry.

Several students recorded videos and shared them online, where they quickly gained traction.

This is not the first such incident this year. During the Class 12 Maths exam held on March 9, students who scanned the QR code were redirected to Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley, a classic example of the Internet prank known as "rickrolling."

Following the incidents, the Central Board of Secondary Education issued a clarification stating that the question papers were authentic.

The board explained that QR codes are included only as a security feature to verify the genuineness of the paper and are not intended to display unrelated content or redirect users elsewhere.
