Chennai: To be a successful actor, one should be open to a variety of roles, suggests Telugu producer RV Subramanyam.
"One should always be ready to take up different kinds of roles to be called a successful actor. Being choosy about roles doesn't always work in the favour of the actor. Sometimes it is wise to do roles that are tagged unconventional," Subramanyam told IANS.
Asked if he could identify one actor who has done versatile roles, he said: "Sri Hari is one of the most versatile actors in the Telugu film industry. He is passionate about acting and hence is always open to different kinds of roles. He has varied his role over the years in Telugu films such as Magadheera, King and Dhee."
On the production front, Subramanyam is currently working on an untitled Telugu project with debutant Jayant and Sri Hari.
"We have completed the talkie part of the film and are planning to shoot the rest of the two songs soon. We will launch the audio by January end next year," he said.
Sanjana and Swethabasu Prasad are playing the female lead in the film, which also features Nagababu, MS Narayana, Krishna Bhagawan, Gurlin Chopra, Praveen, and Gowri Shankar.
