In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Brij Bhusan Sharan Singh was elected from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh on a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ticket. He received 3,81,500 votes. His closest opponent was Vinod Kumar alias Pandit Singh from the SP who received 3,03,282 votes. Brij Bhusan Sharan Singh won the constituency by a margin of 78,318 votes.
In the 2009 general elections, the Kaiserganj seat was won by Brij Bhusan Sharan Singh on an SP ticket. In the 2004 general elections, the Kaiserganj parliamentary seat was won by Beni Prasad Verma of the SP and his runner up was Arif Mohamad Khan of the BJP.
The Kaiserganj parliamentary constituency consists of five Vidhan Sabha seats: Prayapur, Kaiserganj, Katra Bazar, Colonelganj and Tarabganj.
Voting for the Kaiserganj seat was concluded in the fifth phase of elections on May 6.
In the 2019 general elections, the BJP fielded Brijbhusan Sharan Singh, the Congress party's candidate is Vinay Kumar Pandey and the Mahagathbandhan has fielded Chandradev Ram Yadav on a BSP ticket.
