Punjab Elections | Punjab Turban Row: Saini Accuses Mann Of Insulting Punjab
In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini hit back at Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over remarks questioning his wearing of a turban during political rallies in Punjab. Saini said the dastaar is a symbol of honour and pride bestowed by the Gurus, and accused Mann of insulting the people and culture of Punjab. He also demanded an apology from Mann over the remarks. Saini further alleged that Arvind Kejriwal continues to wield influence over the Punjab government and criticised the Aam Aadmi Party leadership over what he described as propaganda and inaccurate claims. The BJP leader also questioned figures cited by Mann regarding people released from jails.
