In the General Elections of 2014, Sakuntala Laguri from Bharatiya Janata Dal won the Keonjhar Lok Sabha Constituency seat. She received 4,34,471 votes. Her closest opponent was Ananta Nayak from Bharatiya Janata Party. He received 2,77,154 votes. 

In the General Elections of 2009, Yashbant Narayan Singh Laguri from Bharatiya Janata Dal won the Keonjhar Lok Sabha seat. His closest opponent was an Independent Candidate Dhanurjaya Sidu. He received 2,62,620 votes. 

In 1971 General Elections, Kumar Majhi from Janata Party won the Keonjhar Constituency. In 1974 General Elections, Gobina Munda from Swatantra Party won the seat. 

In 1977 General Elections, Kumar Majhi from Janata Party won the Keonjhar Constituency. 

In 1980 General Elections, Jogendra Naik from Congress was elected from the Keonjhar Lok Sabha constituency. 

In 1985 General Elections, Chhotray Majhi from Janata Party won the Keonjhar Lok Sabha Constituency. In 1990 General Elections, Chhotray Majhi from Janata Dal won the Keonjhar Constituency. 

In 1995 General Elections, Jogendra Naik from Bharatiya Janata Party was elected from the Keonjhar Lok Sabha seat. In 2000 and 2004 General Elections, Mohan Charan Majhi from Bharatiya Janata Party was elected to parliament from the Keonjhar Lok Sabha seat. 

The 2019 General Election was held in the third phase for Keonjhar seat. While BJD fielded Chandrani Marmu, Ananta Nayak was BJP's candidate and Mohan Kumar Hembram was Congress' candidate. 

After the delimitation in 2008, Keonjhar Lok Sabha Constituency has seven assembly segments. These are Telkoi, Ghasipura, Anandpur, Patna, Keonjhar, Champua and Karanjia.
