Live : Rajmahal Assembly Election 2019

The Rajmahal Lok Sabha constituency, which is reserved under the scheduled tribe category,  consists of Rajmahal, Boiro, Barhait, Litipara and Maheshpur assembly segments. Under this constituency the Boiro, Barhait, Litipara and Maheshpur assembly seats fall under the scheduled tribe category. 

The constituency went to polls on May 19 in the seventh phase of 2019 general elections. The poll results will be released on May 23.

JMM's Vijay Kumar Hansdak is the sitting MP from this constituency. In 2014 he defeated Hemlal Murmu, the BJP nominated candidate in this seat by a margin of 41337. He is a member of the Standong Committee of the Ministry of Coal and of the Library Committee.  

This time the lok sabha elections will have Gopin Soren, who was the CPI(M) nominated candidate from this constituency along with BSP's Baidhnath Pahadiya, AITC's Monika Kisku, JMM's Vijay Kumar Hansdak and BJP's Hemlal Murmu. They are among the 14 candidates who are in fray for the seat, of which are six independent candidates.

The General Elections of 2014 saw a total voter turnout of 1,353,172.
