About Lohardaga

In 2014 general elections, Sudarshan Bhagat from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the Lohardaga Lok Sabha Constituency in Jharkhand. He won 226666 votes. His closest opponent was Rameshwar Oraon from Indian National Congress. He received 220177 votes. 

In 2009 general elections, Sudarshan Bhagat from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituency. He won 144628 votes. His opponent was Chamra Linda an Independent candidate. He received 136345 votes. 

In 1971 general elections, Kartik Oraon from Indian National Congress had won the Lohardaga constituency. In 1977 general elections, Laloo Oraon from Janata Party had won the seat. 

In 1980 general elections, Kartik Oraon from Indian National Congress had won the Lohardaga constituency. In 1984 and 1989 general elections, Sumati Oraon from Indian National Congress had won the seat. 

In 1991 and 1996 general elections, Lalit Oraon from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituency. 

In 1998 general elections, Indra Nath Bhagat from Indian National Congress had won the seat. In 1999 general elections Dukha Bhagat from Bharatiya Janata Party had won the Lohardaga seat. 

In 2004 general elections, Rameshwar Oraon from Indian National Congress had won the Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituency. 

In 2019 general elections, there are 14 candidates contesting. They are Dinesh Oraon from All India Trinamool Congress, Sharvan Kumar Panna from Bahujan Samaj Party, Sukhdeo Bhagat from Indian National Congress, Sukhdeo Bhagat from Indian National Congress, Sudarshan Bhagat from Bharatiya Janata Party and Deokumar Dhan from Jharkhand Party. There are 9 independent candidates. They are Ajit Kumar Bhagat, Amber Saurav Kunal, Anand Paul Tirkey, Alon Baxla Ekus Dhan, Kalindra Oraon, Raghunath Mahli, Sanjay Oraon and Saniya Oraon. 

Lohardaga Lok Sabha constituency has five assembly segments. These include Mandar, Sisai, Gumla, Bishnupur and Lohardaga.
