The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) conducted the Class 10 or Madhyamik examination results for the academic year 2026-2027 from February 2 to February 12, 2026. Students who appeared for the examination will be able to check their results through our fast result checker above or  through the official website wbchse.wb.gov.in.

How to Check West Bengal Board Class 10 Result 2026

Method 1: Through NDTV Education Portal (Fast & Reliable)

You can use the quick result checker available at the top of this page to instantly view your results, without having to wait in long queues on the official website.

Method 2: Through the Official Website

Students can also check their Class 12 results through the official West Bengal Board website. To do this, visit ndtv.com/mbose.in and click on the "Result" or "Class 12 Result 2026" link available on the homepage. You will then need to enter your 9-digit Roll Code (starting with the specified letter) along with your Roll Number as mentioned on the admit card. After completing the CAPTCHA verification, click on the "Submit" button. Once submitted, the result will be displayed on the screen, showing subject-wise marks, total marks obtained, grade or division, and pass or fail status.

Method 3: Through SMS 

Students can also check their results via SMS. To do so, open the message box on your mobile phone and type "WB10 your Roll Number". Send the message to 58888. Once the SMS is sent, the result will be delivered directly to your mobile phone.

Pass Percentage Analysis - Year-on-Year Comparison

The Class 10 results have remained stable in recent years. Following a 100 per cent pass rate in 2021 due to the pandemic, the pass percentage settled around 86 per cent, recording 86.60 per cent in 2022, 86.15 per cent in 2023, 86.31 per cent in 2024, and 86.56 per cent in 2025.

West Bengal Board Class 10 Marking Scheme & Grading System

To pass the Class 12 board examination, students must score a minimum of 30 per cent marks in each subject as well as secure an overall aggregate of at least 30 per cent. In certain eligible cases, grace marks may be awarded, allowing students to receive up to the prescribed limit to help them meet the required passing criteria.

Re-evaluation, Re-checking & Verification Process

Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply online for re-checking or re-evaluation within the prescribed window. Only theory papers are eligible. Practical and internal assessment marks cannot be challenged.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) was established in 1951 as an autonomous examining authority for secondary (Class 10) education in West Bengal. It was formed under the West Bengal Secondary Education Act, 1950 and later reconstituted under the WBBSE Act, 1963, giving the Board its present structure in 1964.
