100% Cut-Off Set For 9 Courses In Delhi University Colleges As Admissions Begin

Delhi University's Jesus and Mary College (JMC) has set a 100 per cent cut-off for its BA (Honours) Psychology programme. At DU’s Hansraj College, the cut-off has been set at 100 per cent for admission in Computer Science (H).

Delhi University (Du) on Friday released its first cut-off list for undergraduate admissions with at least nine courses, including Political Science and Computer Science, pegging the cut-offs at 100 per cent. The colleges affiliated with Delhi University that have announced 100 per cent cut-offs are Sri Ram College for Commerce (SRCC) for Economics (Honours) and B.Com (Honours), Hindu College and Ramjas College for Political Science (Honours), Hindu College and SGTB Khalsa College for BCom, Hansraj College and Deen Dayal Upadhyay College for Computer Science Honours and Jesus and Mary College for Psychology Honours.

Here's a list of nine courses in DU with 100% cut-offs:

  • Hindu College: BA (H) Political Science - 100%
  • Ramjas College: BA (H) Political Science - 100%
  • Shri Ram College of Commerce: BA (H) Economics - 100%
  • Shri Ram College of Commerce: BCom (H) - 100%
  • Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College: BCom - 100%
  • Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College: BSc (H) Computer Science - 100%
  • Hansraj College: BSc (H) Compter Science - 100%
  • Ramjas College: B.Sc (Hons.) Physics - 100%
  • Shaheed Sukhdev College Business Studies: BSc (Hons) Computer Science - 100%

Delhi University's Jesus and Mary College (JMC) has set a 100 per cent cut-off for its BA (Honours) Psychology programme as the college released its minimum scores for admission under the first list cut-off list for 2021. This is an increase of 1.5 percentage points from last year for the undergraduate programme.

At DU's Hansraj College, the cut-off has been set at 100 per cent for admission in Computer Science (H), followed closely by BA (H) Economics and BCom (H) at 99.75 per cent.

The cut-off has increased by a mark, or 0.75 percentage points, in Political Science at Jesus and Mary College, while for History, it has remained the same - 97.25 per cent. The cut-off has sharply increased by 5 percentage points for Hindi at JMC, from 65 per cent to 70 per cent. The cut-offs have increased by a mark, or 1.75 percentage points, for both B. Com and B. Com (Honours). For Mathematics, the cut-off has risen by 0.5 percentage points, from 95 per cent to 95.5 per cent.

At Hansraj College, while the cut-off for Computer Science has been increased sharply by 2.75 percentage points, for Economics, the cut-off has increased by a whole percentage point.

Colleges affiliated to Delhi University have started releasing the first cut-off list. Admission under the university's first cut-off for 2021 begins from Monday, October 4.
