Students must note that the syllabus of Class 10th and 12th is available on the CBSE website: cbseacademic.nic.in. 

According to official information, sample question papers and question paper designs of standard level and basic level Maths are available on the board's official website, cbseacademic.nic.in.

Once CBSE publishes the timetable, Class 10 and 12 students can follow the steps given below.

• Visit cbse.gov.in
• Open the examination-circulars or latest-notice section
• Locate the notification mentioning the Class 10 and 12 Board Examinations 2027
• Open the official PDF
• Check the class, subject code, subject name, examination date and examination timing
• Download and save the PDF for reference

According to official information, a student who failed in class 10th or class 12th board exam can reappear as a private candidate or as regular student admitted in school. For further information students can visit cbse.nic.in.

Actor Sanjay Mishra interacted with students at a Hindi Diwas programme held at Banaras Hindu University (BHU). Recalling his days at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mishra spoke about his role in drawing a map of India at the school.

During his interaction with the students, Mishra spoke about his acting process and how it has changed over the years. He said, “For Chanakya I used to do 28 takes, whereas today I deliver in a single take. I was never very good at academics; I did not want to read history, I wanted to see it. Even today, I don’t read my scripts.”

He also spoke about the role of struggle in a person’s journey and told the students, “Taste failure, and only then will you understand the true meaning of success. The struggle is yours alone; no one else will share the burden. You must seize the opportunity and hit a boundary the moment it arises.”

Mishra also spoke about his love for films, which he said started at a young age. He advised students to keep moving ahead while staying connected to their roots.

Talking about education and one’s connection with their culture, he said, “It is essential to move forward, but never lose touch with your roots. Do not let education become a source of stress; stay grounded in your origins.”

The actor also spoke about the importance of one’s mother tongue and culture, saying that even filmmakers stay connected to their culture through their native language.

The 'AI Utsav – Skill Competition 2026’ will provide students of Classes 6 to 12 from government schools across all eight districts of the northeastern state access to free Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses through the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH).

SIDH is the national digital skilling platform of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. "Around 1,920 government schools having classes 6 to 12 are proposed to be covered under the initiative," said Skill Development Director Pradeep Krishnaraj.

After successful completion, students will be able to download a national certificate from the Skill India Digital Hub, giving them early exposure to Artificial Intelligence along with formal recognition of their learning, he said.

According to him, through 'AI Utsav–Skill Competition 2026', the state aims to encourage students to understand emerging technologies from an early age, develop digital confidence and prepare themselves for the skills required in a rapidly evolving technology-driven world.

Mishra, who was the chief guest, spoke about his bond with Banaras. Talking about the city and what it has taught him, he said, “I live the life of an actor. I love Banaras dearly. Banaras represents a beautiful mindset; it teaches you to simply be yourself. If you are a Banarasi, remain a Banarasi. I have wandered through these lanes wearing a gamchha (traditional scarf).”

The actor also spoke about the city’s lanes and ghats and how his experiences in Banaras have been connected to his work.

Mishra then shared a funny memory from his school days. He recalled reaching school half an hour late because he had stopped to eat a samosa on the way. When his teacher asked him about the delay, he said that his mother was ill. He was later asked to write an application explaining his absence, which he said became 18 pages as he struggled to write it properly.

The Tripura government has launched a state-level initiative, aimed at introducing AI to school students and building a future-ready generation equipped with emerging technology and skills, an official said on Thursday.

In a public notice, the CBSE announced that the introduction of the On Screen Marking (OSM) for Class 12 answer book evaluation has drawn positive responses from teachers across the country. 

The second board examination was introduced from the 2026 academic session in line with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Under the revised system, CBSE will now conduct two board examinations for Class 10 every year, allowing eligible students an additional opportunity to improve their performance.

An early or tentative intimation of the exam schedule enables students to:

• Design structured study plans aligned with subject gaps and exam order
• Formulate targeted revision strategies and mock-test schedules
• Prioritise high-weightage subjects and manage time effectively

The Central Board of Secondary Education has not released the Class 10 and 12 board examination timetable for 2027 yet. Students are advised to check the official CBSE website and examination-circulars page for the date-sheet PDF and avoid relying on unverified social media posts or unofficial claims. In the 2026 cycle, CBSE released the tentative schedule on September 24, 2025. 

Government initiatives in Gujarat’s tribal areas are helping girls continue their education by addressing challenges related to access to schools and providing financial and infrastructure support, according to a report by the Asian News International (ANI).

Under the Vidyasadhana Yojana, eligible tribal girls entering Class 9 are provided free bicycles to make their daily commute to school easier. The bicycle support is aimed at encouraging regular attendance and helping students continue their education, according to the report.

The board will also give an idea of the number of students expected to appear for the 2027 board examination. 

Last year, announcing the tentative exam schedule for Class 10 and 12 board students, the CBSE stated that in 2026 approximately 45 lakh candidates were expected to appear in 204 subjects across 10th and 12th.

In an attempt to advance educational empowerment of students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs), the central government has announced higher education opportunities, free coaching, and fellowship programmes through a scheme called the Scholarships for Higher Education for Young Achievers Scheme (SHREYAS).

A study from the University College London (UCL) suggested that smacking children as a form of punishment is associated with lower academic performance in adolescence and a higher likelihood of risky teenage behaviour.  The researchers said that the findings add to global evidence that physical punishment has no benefits and instead correlates with harm across education, behaviour, and development.

Answering FAQs on board examinations, the CBSE stated that the use of whitener is not permitted.

The CBSE date sheet will also help schools to align their academic and administrative activities, including deployment of teachers for examination and evaluation duties.

The CBSE Class 10 and 12 board candidates can expect the following information soon:

• Tentative board examination schedule 
• Subject-wise dates for Classes 10 and 12
• Theory examination commencement date
• Practical examination or internal-assessment schedule
• Examination timings and reporting time
• Date-sheet PDF download link
• Any separate schedule for regular and private candidates

The CBSE Class 10 main board examination was held from February 17 to March 11, 2026, while the second board examination was conducted from May 15 to May 21, 2026.

The Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday commenced a month-long in-person support programme for classes 10 and 12 students in government schools across ten locations in the union territory of Ladakh.

The programme is being conducted at Leh, Nubra (two places), Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan, with a focus on strengthening students' subject understanding and preparing them for the board examinations.

Based on previous records, the CBSE is expected to release the tentative schedule by the last week of September 2026. Meanwhile, students can expect the CBSE board final date sheet in the month of October-November 2026.

Last year, the CBSE issued a tentative exam date sheet on September 24, 2025.
