New Delhi: Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) is expected to release the result for intermediate or class 12 exam today. The result will be declared on the partner website of Bihar Board. In last few days, there have been much speculation about Bihar Board results. Bihar board is one in a series of state boards which are declaring their results after CBSE result declaration. After the declaration of the state board results, the under graduate admission process at all major universities in Bihar would begin.
Where to check Bihar Board Intermediate result 2017?
The result will be available on the board's partner website, indiaresults.com. Students could navigate to the same through the results link provided on the official website of Bihar Board.
Last year the board had declared the result stream-wise which means that the result for the three streams were declared on different dates. In 2016, the pass percentage for science stream students was 67.06%, arts stream students was 56.73%, and commerce stream students was 80.87%.
As per an estimate, a total of 12,56,507 students have appeared for the Bihar Board intermediate exam in all three streams. Apart from the regular students, 2,33,043 such students also appeared in the exam who had failed in the intermediate exam last year.
In the past few years, the board had been surrounded by numerous allegations of cheating and unfair practices in evaluation of answer sheets which is why this year the board has taken extra caution. Measures taken by the board included bar coding of answer sheets.
According to reports, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor has announced that the first topper in intermediate exam will be awarded 1 lakh INR, second topper will be awarded 75 thousand INR, and third topper will be awarded 50 thousand INR. Toppers will also be given a laptop and kindle e-reader each.
