On receiving information that body a woman was found under a car at the parking area of sector three Pushp Vihar near Khanpur T-point, police reached there and recovered it, a senior police officer said.
"The unidentified body has tattoos on the left and right wrists. It is estimated that she was around 23-years-old. She was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a black colour T-shirt," the officer said.
The body had injury marks inflicted with a sharp object on the throat. There were similar marks on her chin and left wrist too, she said.
A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC has been registered at Saket Police Station and further investigation is on, the officer said.
This is the second case of a woman's body being found in south district.
Last week, a headless and decomposed body of an unidentified woman, stuffed in a black plastic bag, was found inside the sewer of a four-storey building in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar area, police said.
