New Delhi:
There are eight medals up for grabs on day one of the Commonwealth Games. India features across several arenas with tennis being the busiest.
Action at the RK Khanna Stadium in New Delhi will start with Rohan Bopanna's first round singles match at 10am on October 4. Bopanna is also playing the mixed doubles with former India number one Nirupama Sanjeev.
However, the highlight event of the day will be Leander Paes and Sania Mirza in their first round mixed doubles match at 7pm on Monday evening.
The Indian women's hockey team will start its campaign at 6pm on Monday with its first pool match against Scotland.
