Villages in Bharatput district submerged after dam releases water
Bharatpur: Several villages have been inundated in Bharatput district of Rajasthan after water was released from the Baraitha dam following heavy rainfall. Much of the crops in the area are also submerged in water.  

The flooded areas are infested with insects and snakes, adding to the villagers' woes, many of whom have moved to safer grounds.

The Rudaval- Bharatpur road have been shut down affecting vehicular movement. Vehicles are using the Bayana road to navigate through the region.

Kakroa, Khatipur, Kanjoli and Purava regions of the district have also been severely affected.
