Again, woman molested on Kerala train
Kochi: Hardly a week after a woman was pushed out of a local train and allegedly raped, a 23-year-old man misbehaved with a woman passenger on board the Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore Express. (Read: Kerala woman who was raped on railway tracks, dies in hospital)

The woman was asleep on the top berth late on Sunday night when she felt someone trying to embrace her and screamed for help that woke up other passengers when the train was nearing Ernakulam station, Railway police said.

The man was found hiding inside a toilet and arrested by Railway police. A case under Sect 354 of IPC (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) has been charged against him, they said.

The man was produced before a court here, which remanded him to 14 days judicial custody.

Last week, a 23-year-old woman was pushed out of the ladies compartment of the Erankulam-Shornur passenger train and raped. She suffered at least 100 wounds and police suspect that the accused hit her with a sharp edged weapon or stone, which fractured her skull bone and jaw bone. She died on Sunday.
