BitDelta India Launches CrypTution, India's First Structured Crypto Assets (VDA) Learning & Certification Ecosystem

BitDelta India, an FIU-IND-registered Virtual Digital Asset trading platform, today announced the launch of CrypTution, India's first institution grade crypto assets (VDA) learning and certification ecosystem.

CrypTution has been developed with an aim to support the growth of India's VDA ecosystem through informed and prepared participation. While access to crypto assets and related information has expanded, formal education has not kept pace, leaving many participants to navigate a complex and evolving market through fragmented sources.

The initiative aims to bridge this gap by combining guided learning, simulated market exposure and competency-led certification before participants transition to live-market environments. With Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities already accounting for nearly 40% of India's crypto user base, the initiative is designed to make structured VDA education more accessible across geographies, languages and participant profiles.

ECB Rate Decision: Rates Unchanged, War Uncertainty Lingers

Ankita Pathak, Head - Global Investments, Ionic Asset

After delivering a rate hike at its previous meeting, the ECB kept policy rates unchanged in July, reiterating its strong data-dependent approach. Despite subdued domestic economic growth, the central bank appears to remain firmly focused on bringing inflation under control. We believe and Lagarde signalled that the ECB is likely to prioritize inflation over growth in the near term, and therefore, the possibility of additional rate hikes cannot be ruled out. Within DMs while ECB and BoJ have chosen a path of policy tightening while the US Fed is on a pause mode, creating differentiated investment opportunities. A) investors are likely to remain overweight US equities where discount rate is stable and earnings have been more promising and B) An uptick of inflation in Eurozone and Japan carries a depreciative bias for these currencies which in turn translates into more strength in dollar. However, this trend could reverse if the ECB and BoJ continue to raise rates while Fed remains on a pause. DXY strength coupled and higher oil prices (both of which were perceived to be transitory at start of 2026) are creating anomalies across equity and bond markets.

In a much-anticipated move, the Governing Council kept the three key ECB rates unchanged, with the deposit facility rate at 2.25%, main re-financing rate at 2.40%, and the marginal lending rate at 2.65%. ECB delivered 25 bps rate cut in June 2026. With the conflict in the Middle East still ongoing, energy markets have continued to experience volatility in oil and gas prices, thereby weighing on the inflation outlook. ECB reiterated its commitment to bringing inflation back to its 2% medium-term target.

Economic Activity Improves Only Modestly, Growth Outlook Still Weighed Down By Energy Shock

Overall, economic activity showed some signs of improvement in the second quarter. The services sector has partly recovered driven mainly by AI related digital activity, while manufacturing held up on precautionary stock-building and higher defence spending. Unemployment level stayed low at 6.2%, however lower job postings point out to a weaker labour market ahead. With conflict still unresolved and energy prices volatile, the ECB's projections show growth staying weak through early 2027, with GDP picking up only gradually from 0.8% in 2026 to 1.2% in 2027. Financing conditions have also tightened modestly since June's hike, with stricter credit standards and softening mortgage demand, the intended channel through which the Central Bank aims to bring inflation back to target.

Inflation Moderates, But Remains Above 2%, Energy Risks Keep ECB in Wait And Watch

Headline inflation eased to 2.8% in June from 3.2% in May, with core inflation down to 2.4%. Inflation readings remain considerably above the Central Bank's target of 2.0%, and is expected to stay elevated and is seen at 3.0% in 2026, and could potentially remain higher well into the first half of 2027 as the energy shock feeds through to food, goods, and services prices, before returning to the 2% target by 2028.

Markets Remain Under Pressure

European equities remained under pressure, with the STOXX 50 (-1.4%), CAC 40 (-1.6%), and DAX (-1.2%) trading lower. Meanwhile, the German 10Y Bund yield rose to 3.21%, while Brent crude remained elevated above USD 100/bbl, reflecting persistent geopolitical and energy market concerns

Crypto Update By Avinash Shekhar

Avinash Shekhar, Co-Founder & CEO, Pi42

"The latest correction across the crypto market reflects how quickly global geopolitical developments can influence investor sentiment across asset classes. Bitcoin's pullback towards the mid $64,000 range, alongside weakness in Ethereum and other leading digital assets, comes amid heightened uncertainty following the escalation in the Iran conflict and a broader shift away from high-growth assets. At the same time, the sharp liquidation of leveraged positions suggests that the market is flushing out excessive short-term speculation, which is a healthy process before the next phase of price discovery.

Long-term investors should avoid reacting emotionally to short-term volatility and instead focus on portfolio discipline and gradual accumulation through staggered investments. Crypto remains a long-term innovation story driven by institutional participation, blockchain adoption and improving market infrastructure. Periods like these often remind investors that patience, diversification and a measured investment approach tend to deliver better outcomes than attempting to time every market move."

Market analysis by Vikram Subburaj

Vikram Subburaj, CEO, Giottus.com

Bitcoin traded near $65,100 on Friday, falling about 1% over the past 24 hours. The decline came as surging oil prices, higher Treasury yields, and renewed expectations of further Federal Reserve tightening reduced demand for risk assets.Immediate support is located around $64,600-$65,000, followed by the stronger on-chain demand shelf near $63,000. Resistance is visible at $65,800-$66,000, followed by $67,000 and the short-term-holder cost basis near $69,000.

On-chain conditions remain constructive but incomplete. The $69,000 level is the average breakeven price for recent buyers, while the $63,000 area remains the strongest nearby demand zone.Exchange inflows continue to fade, reducing immediate sell-side pressure. However, accumulation remains concentrated among wallets holding 1,000-10,000 BTC, and spot participation has not broadened sufficiently to confirm a durable breakout.

Institutional demand has improved materially. US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately $999.3 million in inflows across seven consecutive positive sessions from July 14 to July 22. These inflows more than offset the $424.7 million outflow recorded on July 13. July 23 showed a preliminary $22.6 million outflow, although BlackRock's IBIT figure remained unavailable.

Large-cap altcoins were broadly weaker. Ethereum declined 2.7% to $1,875, BNB fell 0.6% to $567, XRP dropped 2.5% to $1.11, and Solana lost 2.9% to $75.64. TRON was comparatively resilient, remaining almost unchanged at $0.329. The larger declines in Ethereum and Solana indicate that higher-beta assets are bearing more of the current risk reduction.

The July 28-29 Federal Reserve meeting is the main macro catalyst. Markets now assign roughly a one-in-three probability of an immediate rate increase. Brent crude near $100.85 and the US 10-year Treasury yield around 4.70% have revived inflation concerns and could keep liquidity conditions restrictive.

Recommendations On Regulation Of Cryptocurrencies: Expert View

Edul Patel, Founder and CEO of Mudrex

The Parliamentary Standing Committee has correctly identified the current exclusion of Virtual Digital Assets (VDAs) from India's securities framework as a regulatory grey area rather than a settled policy position. The committee's observations echoed the industry's long-standing concern that the lack of consumer protections and market conduct norms leaves investors with limited remedies to fraud, market manipulation and various other risks while stunting market development.

Among major global economies, India remains an outlier with no interim crypto policy in place. Japan has brought crypto assets under its securities law, on par with stocks and bonds. The US applies the Howey test to bring security-like tokens under existing law. Singapore's Securities and Futures Act does the same for qualifying crypto assets. The UK has introduced dedicated Cryptoassets Regulations this year, and the EU's MiCA operates as a framework for crypto assets not already covered by existing regulations.

While we await a comprehensive policy framework, the Committee's recommendation for an interim, Self-Regulatory Organisation (SRO)-led mechanism under a designated regulator's oversight is a practical and proportionate first step. India's crypto industry is well-placed to adopt a framework built around governance standards, disclosure, investor protection and grievance redressal while the broader legislative conversation continues.

Crypto Update By Akshat Siddhant

Akshat Siddhant, Lead quant analyst, Mudrex

Bitcoin has retreated to around $64,800, as escalating geopolitical tensions have dampened risk appetite. Fresh attacks in the Middle East have pushed crude oil above $90 a barrel, while driving US bond yields to their highest levels in 18 months, weighing on risk assets. Additional uncertainty followed reports that President Trump is considering a significantly larger military response against Iran. Despite the weakness in price, US spot Bitcoin ETFs extended their inflow streak to seven consecutive sessions, attracting nearly $1 billion in total. Bitcoin now faces resistance at $66,000, while $64,350 remains the key support level.

Markets Update By Riya Sehgal

Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst, Delta Exchange

Gold and silver declined despite escalating geopolitical tensions as surging US Treasury yields and a stronger dollar outweighed immediate safe-haven demand. US jobless claims fell to 187,000, while Brent crude moved above $100 per barrel, reinforcing inflation concerns and prompting markets to price a greater probability of further Federal Reserve tightening. On the four-hour chart, tokenized gold remains technically weak below $4,060-$4,070, with $4,000 representing critical support.

Crypto markets are also facing pressure from tighter financial conditions. Bitcoin remains relatively stronger than Ethereum and major altcoins, with its four-hour structure constructive above $65,000. A sustained move above $66,100 could open the $66,600-$66,900 supply zone, while a break below $65,000 may expose $64,750-$64,200. Ethereum is testing support around $1,845-$1,855, failure to hold could extend the correction toward $1,813-$1,830.

US equities closed sharply lower, with the Nasdaq declining 2.15%. Alphabet's increased capital-spending plans and Tesla's first negative quarterly free cash flow in over two years weighed on sentiment.

Pre-Market Analysis By Gaurav Udani

Gaurav Udani, Founder - ThinCredBlu Securities

"Nifty is expected to open lower around 23,700, down nearly 170 points, indicating a weak start as rising US Treasury bond yields continue to weigh on global equity markets.

Higher US bond yields have increased risk aversion among investors, leading to selling pressure across emerging markets, including India.

Technically, 23,450-23,550 remains the immediate support zone. Holding this range will be crucial to prevent further downside. A break below support could accelerate selling pressure and drag the index lower.

On the upside, 23,900-24,000 will act as the immediate resistance zone, where any recovery is likely to face selling pressure.

The overall market sentiment remains cautious, and traders should remain disciplined with strict risk management. Until global cues improve and Nifty reclaims key resistance levels, a cautious, level-based approach is advisable."

Crypto Update By CoinSwitch Markets Desk

BTC slipped below $65K before gaining it back as escalating US-Iran tensions weighed on crypto and equity markets, while Brent crude moved above $100 and US bond yields reached 18-month highs. Higher energy prices have revived inflation concerns and may keep interest rates elevated, creating a challenging near-term backdrop for BTC. The July recovery could lose momentum if BTC fails to reclaim $65K, with the 21-day moving average near $64K acting as key support and $68K as the next major resistance. Investors may prefer disciplined positioning, limited leverage and gradual accumulation near support rather than chasing short-term rebounds.

Crypto Update By Nischal Shetty

Nischal Shetty, founder, WazirX

"Crypto markets traded slightly lower, with Bitcoin down 0.13% to around $64,979 and Ethereum declining 0.62% to $1,866. Bitcoin remained under pressure as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East dampened investor sentiment, prompting a shift toward safer assets. Ethereum also weakened, with traders closely monitoring institutional positioning and broader market uncertainty.

In regulatory developments, Argentina is advancing a proposal to let mutual investment funds invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies while recognizing virtual assets as collateral, signaling broader crypto adoption. Meanwhile, institutional participation in decentralized finance continues to grow after a wallet linked to Fasanara Capital opened a $67 million ETH short on Hyperliquid. The position is widely viewed as part of a hedging or market-neutral strategy, highlighting the growing institutional use of on-chain derivatives.

Bitcoin's daily technical indicators remain neutral, with immediate support around $64,200-$64,500, while Futures traders are watching whether BTC can sustain a move back toward $66,000. For Ethereum traders, $1,840-$1,860 remains the key support zone, while $1,900 is the next major resistance."
