VinFast, the Vietnamese automaker in India, has shared the first official teaser image of its upcoming VF MPV7, signalling an imminent launch in India. This seven-seater electric vehicle will become the Vietnamese automaker's third offering in the country, following earlier models. It will open doors to a new market for the automaker and join the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in the Indian market.

The upcoming electric MPV overlaps VinFast's Limo Green, which shares the same body size and seating capacity. However, the VF MPV 7 caters specifically to private consumers, distinguishing itself through premium touches such as leatherette seats, integrated lighting across the front and rear, keyless entry, and larger 19-inch alloy wheels. The Limo Green, by comparison, focuses on commercial use with a more basic specification.

Exterior styling draws from VinFast's recognisable design language, including slim LED headlights and interconnected taillights. Inside, buyers can expect practical features like a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, USB-A and USB-C ports for charging, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and adjustable steering for better ergonomics.

While full specifications remain under wraps until the official reveal, reports suggest a 60.1 kWh battery driving a front-axle electric motor. This setup should deliver approximately 150 bhp and 280 Nm of torque, with options for various drive modes and regenerative braking. Acceleration from 0-100 kmph could take less than 10 seconds, making it suitable for urban and highway family travel.

VinFast continues to expand its presence in India's electric vehicle segment, where MPVs hold appeal for their space and versatility. More information on variants, exact pricing, and available colours will follow soon, as the debut approaches in the coming weeks.

The VF MPV 7 targets the growing demand for family-oriented electric MPVs. It positions itself against established competitors like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMAX 7, while entering a price range similar to the Mahindra XEV 9S, expected to start from Rs 19.90 lakh.
