Steelbird Helmets has expanded its presence in the premium helmet segment with the launch of the SXE helmet. This is the first motorcycle helmet in India to have TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) energy absorber. This is supported by a tough outer ABS shell reinforced with fibre composites and a triple-layer impact management system. It is worth noting that the inner Black EPS liner is combined with a TPE layer, designed to reduce rotational impact by approximately 20 percent. Hence, lowering the risk of brain injuries.
This product is certified under both BIS IS 4151:2015 for domestic safety standards and DOT FMVSS 218 for international compliance. Its aerodynamic shell helps to decrease wind resistance, enhancing comfort during extended rides. Several intake and exhaust vents provide effective airflow, while the interior padding consists of breathable, hypoallergenic materials with thermoformed inserts that maintain their shape over time.

Furthermore, the SXE is designed with a sound-insulated inner lining to reduce noise, a dual visor setup with a built-in sun shield, and is compatible with Pinlock to minimize visor fogging. The outer visor is resistant to scratches and is optically precise; the helmet is equipped with a micrometric buckle for secure fastening.
The SXE is offered in more than 13 painted options and a wide variety of decal designs, as well as reflective features for improved visibility at night. It is available in sizes ranging from S to XL to ensure a comfortable fit. All of it comes with prices starting at Rs 3,599.
