Mercedes-Benz is preparing to debut the CLA EV in the Indian market in April 2026. The launch of the car will play a significant part in the automaker's electric mobility strategy for the country and is being considered as one of the most important launches of the year. Furthermore, it has the responsibility to carry forward the momentum created by the introduction of the latest 2026 GLS and EQS Celebration Editions.
Mercedes-Benz CLA EV: Design
The Mercedes-Benz CLA EV showcases a stylish and contemporary appearance with distinct EV-related features. At the front, it has a blank grille finished in glossy black, adorned with illuminated three-pointed star elements. The twin-pod LED headlights, a trademark of Mercedes-Benz, are joined by a slender LED light strip. A similar LED strip connects the taillights at the back. From the side, it features flush door handles and a variety of 17- to 19-inch alloy wheels designed for optimal aerodynamics.

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV: Cabin
The international version of the CLA EV is equipped as standard with a dual-screen configuration, consisting of a 10.25-inch driver display and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. An optional front passenger screen can be added as an accessory. Inside the cabin, there is a 3-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, and the carbon-fibre accents on the center console lend a sporty feel.

Mercedes-Benz CLA EV: Features
Standard features in the comfort and convenience package include powered and heated front seats with memory, a fixed panoramic glass roof, and automatic climate control. Available options encompass a 16-speaker Burmester audio system, a 14-inch passenger display, a head-up display, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Regarding safety, the CLA is outfitted with eight airbags, a 360-degree camera accompanied by blind-spot monitoring, Level 2 ADAS, a tyre-pressure monitoring system, and an electronic parking brake.
Mercedes-Benz CLA EV: Powertrain
Bringing back the CLA nameplate in the country, the battery electric vehicle gets two variants internationally: CLA 250+ and CLA 350. These variations come equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack. Among these, the CLA 250+ comes with a rear-mounted motor that kicks out 268 hp of power and 335 Nm of torque, while the claimed WLTP range stands at 792 km. Meanwhile, the CLA 350 offers more power of up to 349 hp and 515 Nm torque using a dual motor setup.
