Honda Motorcycle & Scooter has taken a step to diversify its product portfolio in India by taking the wraps off the Honda CB125 Hornet. With the CB125 Hornet, Honda has introduced another key player in the small-segment motorcycle market in the country, dominated by motorcycles like the TVS Raider. Honda will be announcing the prices of the CB125 Hornet models on 1st August. Here is a comparison between the Honda CB125 Hornet and the TVS Raider that might help you make an easy choice.

The Honda CB125 Hornet is powered by a 123.94 cc, 4-stroke, SI engine, mated with a 5-speed gearbox. It is capable of delivering a peak power and torque output of 11hp at 7500 rpm and 11.2 N-m at 6000 rpm, respectively.

Meanwhile, the TVS Raider gets a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It pushes out a peak power and torque output of 11.4 hp and 11.7 Nm.

The Honda CB125 Hornet gets 796 mm of seat height and offers a ground clearance of 166 mm. On the contrary, the TVS Raider gets 780 mm of seat height with a ground clearance of 180mm.

The TVS Raider gets shorter seat height and higher ground clearance, making it a suitable choice for daily commuting. However, the 12-liter fuel capacity surpasses the Raider's 10-liter fuel space.

The Honda CB125 Hornet gets features like an all-LED lighting setup, including a signature twin-LED headlamp with LED DRLs and high-mounted LED turn indicators, a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync app compatibility, and a USB Type-C charging port. It also comes equipped with an engine stop switch & a side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor for added safety.

The TVS Raider also gets features like a TFT console, enabled with smartphone connectivity for Voice assist, call management, navigation, SMS alert, USB charging port, and more. However, it gets an under-seat storage, which is not available in the Honda CB125 Hornet.
