Ducati is planning on introducing a road-legal enduro motorcycle, which will be called the Desmo450 Enduro. Based on reports, the new model of the Italian brand will launch in 2026. Earlier, the machine was expected to be introduced to the market in 2027. However, the brand seems to have prepared it for an early arrival. While most of the details of the motorcycle are still a secret, here's what we know so far.
To begin with, the single-cylinder machine will be based on the manufacturer's flagship motocross platform with a few typical enduro elements. We can expect it to have an 18-inch rear wheel, with an 8.5 litre fuel tank, and handguards reiterating its off-road credentials. The bike will likely come with a high beak and a design for the headlight, all in sync with the brand's design language.

The bike will seek power from a 449.6 cc Desmodromic engine. However, the power output of the unit has not been revealed. But we expect it to have a lower output compared to the motocross machine. This power will be routed to the wheel of the motorcycle using a six-speed transmission. It is expected to come with a quickshifter.
Similarly, the machine will likely borrow electronic aids like traction control and power modes from the 450 MX already available in the market. All of this will be accessed via a digital instrument cluster, which is also likely to be similar to what is offered on its sister model.
Regarding the suspension, a Showa monoshock is combined with 49mm Showa forks that offer complete adjustability and are coated with Kashima. While the exact travel has not been specified, it is expected to be around 300mm, with the valving and spring rates adjusted accordingly for its updated purpose.
