BMW Motorrad India has released a new teaser hinting at a new version of its most affordable motorcycle sold in the Indian market, the G 310 RR. The image shared by the brand on social media confirms that this will be a limited-run version and will have 310 units. Additionally, this iteration might bring some of the advancements that we have seen on the Apache RR 310, which shares its underpinnings with the G 310 RR.

With the limited edition version, the Supersport is likely to get aesthetic changes. To set it apart from the standard version, the bike will likely get a new paint scheme. Based on the teaser, the bike will likely have black, red, and blue colours. To highlight its unique nature, the brand has placed a metallic plate on the tank with numbering on it. Chances are, the bike will also have aerodynamic improvements borrowed from the Apache RR 310. The brand might also add new alloy wheels to the mix.

Mechanically, the motorcycle is expected to remain unchanged. It will still derive power from a 312 cc water-cooled single-cylinder engine. However, there may be updates borrowed from the Apache RR 310 aimed at enhancing the power output of the motorcycle, which currently delivers output of 33 hp and 27 Nm. Presently, the Apache RR 310 has an output of 37 hp and 29 Nm of torque.

The TVS Apache RR 310 also comes with features such as launch control, cornering drag torque control, a new Gen-2 Race computer, sequential turn signals, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), among others.

With the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS being discontinued, the G 310 RR is now the most budget-friendly motorcycle from the brand available in India. The bike is priced at Rs 3.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The upcoming special edition model is anticipated to have a different price and is expected to be unveiled before the festive season.
