Ather Energy has significantly strengthened its retail presence in India by crossing the 700 Experience Centre milestone, marking one of the brand's fastest expansion phases yet. Over the course of FY26, the electric two-wheeler maker added more than 350 new outlets, effectively doubling its network from 351 centres at the end of March 2025.
This rapid scale-up underlines Ather's aggressive push to improve customer access across both established and emerging EV markets. The company's Experience Centres serve as key touchpoints for sales, test rides, product consultations, and charging support, helping the brand connect with a wider audience.

A major focus of this expansion has been Middle India and other fast-growing regional markets, where EV adoption is gaining pace. At the same time, Ather has continued to deepen its footprint in the south while entering more Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, allowing the brand to tap into new customer segments beyond metro areas.

The stronger retail presence appears to be translating into market gains as well. According to the company, Ather's EV market share rose to 18.7 percent in March 2026, helping it retain the third position in India's electric scooter segment, behind larger legacy rivals.

Ather's recent momentum has also been supported by healthy demand for its product lineup. The Rizta family scooter has already crossed 2.80 lakh units in cumulative sales, emerging as a major volume driver for the brand. Meanwhile, the sporty 450 range, including the 450X and 450S, continues to contribute steady numbers in urban markets.
Beyond retail, the company has also been rapidly scaling its aftersales ecosystem. It recently surpassed 500 authorised service stations nationwide, while its Ather Grid fast-charging network has expanded to over 4,300 charging points globally.
