The Skoda Slavia holds the position of the second-best-selling sedan in its segment, following closely behind its sibling, the Volkswagen Virtus. Both models are set to receive updates, with their refreshed versions expected to launch in 2026. Recent spy shots of the Slavia facelift, shared by automotive enthusiast Harsh Shah, reveal hints of design changes across the front, side, and rear, offering an early glimpse into what the upcoming update may bring.
A camouflaged prototype of the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift has been sighted on the outskirts of Pune, offering the first glimpse of its mid-life update. Despite the heavy disguise, the sedan's familiar silhouette remains evident, retaining the coupe-like roofline and proportions that define the current Slavia. The sighting confirms that Skoda is preparing a cosmetic refresh for the Slavia rather than a complete redesign. The updates appear focused on keeping the sedan competitive in a segment where rivals have already received upgrades, with another facelift expected soon from the Volkswagen Virtus.

The Skoda Slavia facelift test mule reveals updated styling at the front and rear. While the familiar grille remains, the headlamps and LED DRLs sport a fresh design. Heavy camouflage hides finer details, but the fog lamp housings appear revised compared to the current model. The lower grille now carries a 3D pattern finished in piano black, adding a more premium touch to the sedan's refreshed look.

The side profile of the Skoda Slavia facelift shows minimal changes, with the main update likely being a new set of alloy wheels. The test mule features blacked-out alloys with a fresh spoke design. Familiar elements such as conventional door handles, blacked-out B-pillars, dual-tone ORVMs with integrated indicators, and circular arches remain. The coupe-like silhouette continues to lend a sporty appeal, with the roofline flowing neatly into the boot. At the rear, refreshed tail lamps and bumper tweaks are expected, while the boot lid and plate position stay unchanged.

The 2026 Skoda Slavia could be introduced with Level 2 ADAS. Already boasting a 5-star Global NCAP rating, the Slavia would further strengthen its safety credentials with advanced driver assistance features. Expected inclusions are blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, forward collision warning, driver attention monitoring, safe exit alerts, leading vehicle departure notifications, and high beam assist. Such additions will also help the model meet stricter NCAP protocols in the future.

Competition in this space is heating up, with rivals like the Hyundai Verna and Honda City already offering ADAS. The Verna facelift, due in 2026, is expected to bring a comprehensive equipment upgrade that could attract buyers. Similarly, the Volkswagen Virtus facelift is likely to mirror the Slavia's enhancements, ensuring that the battle for supremacy in the mid-size sedan segment becomes even more intense.
The upcoming Skoda Slavia facelift is likely to retain its current engine lineup. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol delivers 115 hp and 178 Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol produces 150 hp and 250 Nm, coupled with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
