Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was asked today to explain why, a year after the Gujarat riots, he praised its Chief Minister, Narendra Modi, over whose recent promotion he ended a 17-year-alliance.
A video from 2003, in which Mr Kumar praised Mr Modi, was released by the BJP on Sunday hours after it was ditched, in retaliation to Mr Kumar's allegations that it is elevating a leader who is divisive. Watch the video (Courtesy: YouTube):
