Truck Bomb Attack Kills Ten in Syria's Homs Province: State Media

Damascus: A truck bomb attack killed at least 10 people at a village in the central Syrian province of Homs on Monday, state television said.

"The terrorist explosion in Haraqi village in Homs province was caused by a tanker truck bomb. The initial toll says 10 people were killed, and major damage was caused to houses," the television station reported.

The attack comes a day before a presidential election is held in regime-held parts of the war-ravaged country, with the incumbent Bashar al-Assad expected to stay in power.

Haraqi is a regime-held village.
