Troicki and Azarenka win titles in Moscow
Moscow: Unseeded Serb Viktor Troicki battled back from a set down to win his maiden ATP title here on Sunday, beating fourth seed Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 in one hour 43 minutes.

"Marcos (Baghdatis) was playing very good in the first set," Troicki said. "But then I started playing better and better and at the end I won my first title. It feels unbelievable to win!"

"I like to play in Moscow very much. Next year I will come back to defend my title here."

The finalists traded breaks early on, but the 25-year-old Cypriot edged ahead to take the opening set in 30 minutes.

It was tight again in the second set up until the 10th game, when Troicki, 43rd in the ATP rankings, broke to level at one set all after one hour eight minutes on court.

Troicki broke halfway into the deciding set again for a comfortable 4-1 lead, which he held onto to win the match converting his first match point with a forehand volley.

Earlier on Sunday second seed Victoria Azarenka of Belarus won the WTA section of the tournament defeating Russia's Maria Kirilenko 6-3, 6-4 in the final.

The 21-year-old won 6-3, 6-4 in one hour 55 minutes to level her head-to-head record with Kirilenko at 2-2.

Currently 10th in the WTA rankings, Azarenka started the match with a break of serve but Kirilenko, who was seeded sixth, broke back immediately to level at one game all.

Scottsdale, Arizona resident Azarenka looked more focused and powerful and she grabbed two further breaks to gain a one-set advantage in 47 minutes.

Kirilenko picked up steam in the second set breaking serve twice in a row to jump out into a commanding 4-0 lead before Azarenka moved up a gear and won six consecutive games to clinch her fifth career title.

"It was really tough to win the second set as Maria started pretty good dominating the play completely," Azarenka said. "I tried hard to stay in the match battling for every point and finally it payed off."

"I'm really happy to win here at my third attempt though I still do not understand completely what I've done."

"It's a big boost to win ahead of Doha," she added. "The win gave me confidence and perfect fitness. I feel my rhythm and I'm ready to go and play there."
