Hoardings declaring his love triggered traffic chaos
Pune: 'I wish Hearty Happy Birthday to Madhavi Vyas, Oracle Associate Consultant, Infosys Pune. May this year bring happiness. May your dreams come true - Sunil'. Some 15 to 20 flex boards with messages like this were displayed across Wipro Circle in Hinjewadi yesterday morning, adding to the already chaotic traffic conditions.

Within a few minutes, people started tweeting, adding pictures and discussing about it on twitter. When MiD DAY contacted a youngster on twitter, he said, "I was heading to work around 9 am when the already chaotic Wipro circle was jammed packed. It was ridiculous and a lot of people had gathered to click images of the boards."

The youngster added that professing love for someone was a different thing but this was public embarrassment. He said that the so-called lover, Sunil, who just mentioned his first name, had shamelessly given out all the details about 'Madhavi Vyas'.

Among the several birthday greetings was an apology seeking forgiveness for some past deed. It read, "Plz forgive me for what I did in the past."

A spokesperson from Infosys confirmed the woman mentioned in the hoardings was from the company, but refused to give details. "As an employee of the company, I am not allowed to share any numbers with you," he said.

PI Balasaheb Surve of Hinjewadi police station said, "No one has lodged a complaint yet. However, we have contacted the security officers of the company and have told them to inform the concerned lady to approach us if she wants to lodge a police complaint."

The Hinjewadi police said that the company officials do not want the matter to be taken ahead. The hoardings were removed by the company officials yesterday, the police added. Sources said that the woman was on leave since it was her birthday, and the man, who allegedly put up the hoardings hails from her hometown.
