Pune:
A 30-year-old married woman and her 19-year-old paramour allegedly committed suicide on Sunday by consuming poison.
The victims have been identified as Aakash Prakash Patil and Jyoti Suersh Desale, both residents of Moshi.
Police inspector (crime) Ravindra Choudhari of Bhosari police station said the victims used to stay in the same building and hail from Jalgaon. "They were having an illicit relationship for the last few months,'' the police said.
The police said the reason of suicide is yet to be ascertained.
Jyoti's husband is a driver in a private firm. On Saturday night, her husband went to Khopoli for some work. Jyoti and her son were in the house. Later, the youth too joined them.
"At midnight, Jyoti's son tried to wake up his mother sleeping in another room. But she did not respond. The boy called the neighbours for help. When they came, they saw Aakash and Joyti lying dead in the room,'' the police added.
