Mirko Vucinic: The short-less scorer of Juventus

Vucinic took his shorts off after scoring a penalty against Pescara in the Serie A, much to the delight of the crowd and the agony of the ones on field!

  • Taking your shirt off is a yellow card offence in football but Juventus' Mirko Vucinic had other ideas to beat that. He could not escape the booking though but netted another goal after the miraculous celebration.

  • He stripped off and immediately got a reprimand from the referee for 'unsporting behaviour'. Hilarious no? But he did not stop there and flung and swung his shorts over his head too.
  • "It was spontaneous. I felt like it and I did it," Vucinic explained afterwards.
  • Coach Antonio Conte was not too pleased with Vucinic's reaction but the player had gained confidence apparently when he scored another goal. Coach Conte, after the match, said: "I told Vucinic he had a terrible game and still scored two goals… Imagine what he would've done if he had played well."
  • But it's not the first instance that Vucinic has done the 'deed'. Playing for his international side Montenegro against Wales in 2010, he stripped to bare minimums while celebrating a goal.
