What India Inc wants from Obama
Mumbai: The political circle may not be abuzz with Barack Obama's visit, with many believing there isn't much on the agenda, but corporate India is looking forward to receiving the American President on his trip to Mumbai.

All eyes will be on what the American President has to say about key concerns like outsourcing.

IT giant Infosys says there is no need for India to feel defensive.

"I think we add sufficient value to the corporations in US so therefore there is no need for us to be apologetic," said N R Narayana Murthy, Chairman, Infosys.

Among President Obama's first engagements is an Entrepreneurship Summit in Mumbai, which will be attended by 350 Indian corporates and 150 top managers of US companies.

India Inc is hoping trade and business will get a boost.

"I think issue of the US not allowing us access to certain technologies will be a major part of the agenda," said Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group.

It's the first time that an American President is coming to India in his first term. It signifies India's growing importance and the symbiotic nature of business ties. India Inc will definitely want to leverage on that.
