Twenty young men have been injured in a Diwali ritual in Indore.
Police stood by as men from two villages fired rockets directly at each other. It's part of a tradition in the region and locals say they won't hear of it being discontinued.
The police say that given that this is so important to the villagers, they can only intervene if the situation becomes critical. With 20 men injured, though not critically, many wonder how much worse things need to get before qualifying as an emergency.
