Mulayam Singh Yadav Announces Rs 5 Lakh Assistance To Machhil Martyrs' Families

Mulayam Singh Yadav paid tributes to the martyrs, two of whom belonged to Ghazipur.

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each for two soldiers who died in an ambush by terrorists in Machhil sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

The amount has been sanctioned from the ruling party's fund, an SP release said in Lucknow.

The former Union Defence Minister paid tributes to martyrs Manoj Kushwaha and Shahshank Singh, who belonged to Ghazipur district of the state, and offered condolences to the bereaved families.

In a cross-Line of Control attack by Pakistan on November 22, three Indian soldiers were killed with the body of one of them being mutilated.

The ambush on army patrol took place in Machhil sector of of Kupwara district in north Kashmir.
