New Delhi: Just give Aamir Khan's Dangal a few more days to score Rs 500 crores in Chinese theatres because after it's almost there. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reported that the film performed "incredibly" on its second Monday in China and that has proved itself as a stubborn competitor. "Dangal has an incredible second Monday in China. Refuses to slow down. All set for Rs 500 crores," tweeted Mr Adarsh. In China, Dangal's second Monday collections are almost double of what the film scored on its first Monday. Meanwhile, Dangal had made Rs 18 crores on Monday last week - an amount which was seven crores under what the Aamir Khan-film had made on its first Monday in India - Rs 25.48 crores.

Currently, Dangal's ticket sales in China stands at Rs 417 crores, reported Mr Adarsh. He also provided a day-wise break-up of how Aamir Khan's wrestling drama performed over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Dangal has joined Baahubali: The Conclusion as India's only two movies to have scored Rs 1000 crores in terms of worldwide collections. "Dangal, Baahubali 2 and Rs 1000 core club. Think big. Think global," Mr Adarsh tweeted on Monday.

A strong fan following for Aamir Khan was established in China after he took his films to Chinese theatres with PK which released across 4,000 screens. Dangal meanwhile, opened to as many as 9,000 screens. This year, the Beijing Film Festival was opened with a screening of Dangal, which later released as Shuai Jiao Baba, which translates in English as 'Let's Wrestle, Dad.'

Aamir Khan co-stars with Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and TV star Sakshi Tanwar in Dangal, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and based on Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.
