There is tension in Haldwani in the hill state of Uttarakhand. According to the police, a local BSP leader shot dead a BJP leader after barging into a police station on Saturday night.
Both the killer and the victim were influential people in the area. The BSP leader has been arrested. An angry crowd burned the Kaladungi police station near Haldwani today. The crowd beat one policeman to death.
