Andhra student alleges rape by boarding school principal

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old student studying in Class X of an international boarding school near Hyderabad has alleged that she was repeatedly raped by the school principal. The matter has shocked parents and raised concerns about the vulnerability of children, yet again.

The father of the girl, who works abroad, returned not just to take his daughter away but also to get the guilty man punished.

"We want him to be punished. Hanged to death, I would say. But Indian law does not permit that," said Shaik Mohd Abdullah, father of the complainant.

The minor girl says she was blackmailed into submission.

"He drugged me and took my naked photographs, blackmailed me and threatened me. He used to call me 2-3 times. His behaviour is not good, not just with me.  He touched, kissed and slept with many girls, not just me," said the complainant.

The police has registered a case of rape and taken the school director into custody for questioning.

"We got this complaint from a girl student and have registered cases under 376, 506 and 201," said AP Anand, the investigating officer.
