Four VCK workers held for stoning Anbumani Ramadoss' convoy in Tamil Nadu

Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu: Four workers of Dalit-based Viduthalai Chiruthaikal Katchi (VCK) were today arrested in connection with stone pelting at the convoy of former Union Minister and PMK candidate for Dharmapuri Lok Sabha constituency Anbumani Ramadoss, damaging his car.

Though Ramadoss escaped unhurt in the incident yesterday while he was campaigning, the car driver sustained minor injuries on his face.

Based on the complaint lodged by driver Babu, police registered a case against Mathivanan of VCK and several others. They arrested Mathivanan and three others of Santhaipatti village and a search was on for some more.

All the four were produced before Judicial Magistrate Court in Harur and remanded to Judicial custody for 15 days.

Following the stone pelting incident, Dharmapuri SP Asra Garg has ordered strengthening the police security to the PMK leader.
