Kolkata:
At least 90 people, most of them differently-abled and senior citizens, are stranded at the Kolkata Airport since 6:30 pm Sunday as the SpiceJet flight which was supposed to fly them to Chennai at 8:30 pm was postponed.
Initially, the airline had said that the 8:30 pm flight would depart at 9:30 pm, but later rescheduled it for 11 pm.
The airline then said there was a technical problem in the flight and another plane was being requisitioned which would take off at 2 am.
The 90 passengers, who are with an NGO called People for People, asked SpiceJet to provide overnight accommodation and send them by the morning flight, but SpiceJet has reportedly refused, saying the flight will take off at 2 am.
