Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent Barack Obama a telegram congratulating his US counterpart on victory in presidential elections, a Kremlin spokesman said on Wednesday.
The Kremlin received the news of Obama's victory over Mitt Romney "very positively," spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian news agencies. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency that Moscow will continue working with Obama and was ready to "go as far as the US administration is willing to go".
